Calls are the voice and video calls built into Viremail, started from any Vire, profile card or calendar event.
What you get
Group calls for up to 8
Call from any Vire or profile card, share your screen, and keep the call in a small window while you work.
Links anyone can join
Make a call link and send it. Guests join from their browser without an account and wait in a lobby until someone lets them in.
Walk out of the Wi-Fi mid-sentence
When your device changes networks the call finds a new route by itself, usually in a second or two. Reload the page and you are straight back in.
Voice comes first
On a weak connection your voice gets priority, and video to that person pauses so the sound stays clear, then comes back when things improve.
See how everyone is connected
Small bars by each name show whose connection is good, fair or weak, so nobody has to ask.
A clear ending, and Call again
If a connection really cannot be brought back, the call says so and offers Call again. In a group, only that person's tile says so, and everyone else carries on.
Never recorded
Calls are encrypted in transit and we do not record them.
Questions and answers
Do the people I call need Viremail?
No. Send a call link and they can join from a current browser on a phone or computer. They type their name and wait in the lobby until someone in the call lets them in.
Are calls end-to-end encrypted?
Calls are encrypted in transit. Where the network allows, they go directly between your devices without passing through our servers, and we never record them.
