Voice and video calls
Call one person or a group of up to 8, straight from a chat or a profile card.
- Open a chat, or select someone's name to see their profile card.
- Choose Call for voice or Video for video.
Their browser or phone rings for 45 seconds, even when Viremail is closed if they turned on notifications. If they miss it, they see a missed call.
During a call you can:
- mute, turn your camera off, or switch camera on a phone,
- share your screen. You see a preview of what you are sharing,
- add people by name or email. Up to 8 people per call,
- drag the call window to any corner, resize it from its corner, make it full screen, or minimise it to a small floating window and keep working,
- use picture in picture to keep the video on top of other apps.
When someone shares their screen it fills the call window, and nothing is cropped. The person speaking is highlighted.
You can choose your ringtone in Settings. Calls go directly between your devices where the network allows it. If they will not connect, see Calls will not connect.
