Choose how an AI app may send email
Ask me first, drafts only, or send without asking.
Each app that may send email has a sending setting in Settings, AI and connected apps.
- Ask me first (the default). Every email and invitation waits for you to approve it. See Approve email an AI app wants to send.
- Drafts only. The app can't send. Emails it writes wait in your Drafts folder for you to check and send, and events it adds are saved without inviting anyone.
- Send without asking. Emails and invitations go out straight away. Viremail asks for your password before you turn this on, and only for apps it has verified.
With Send without asking, an AI that was tricked by something it read could send your information to someone else before you notice. Use it only if you trust the app, and switch back to Ask me first at any time.
Whatever the setting, an app can send at most 10 emails or invitations an hour and 50 a day, to at most 20 people each, only from your own addresses, and never with attachments. Everything it does is listed under Activity for that app.
