Find any attachment in FilesNew
Every file anyone has emailed you, in one place.
Files, in the mail sidebar, shows the attachments in your mail as cards: PDFs, pictures, documents, spreadsheets, slides and more.
- Filter by kind, by the person who sent them, and by date, or search by file name, sender or subject.
- Select a card to preview it. Its menu can download it, Save to Drive, Open the email it came with, or open it in Write (docx, txt, md) or Grid (xlsx, csv).
- Tick several files to save them all to Drive, or Download as zip.
- In the command bar, type someone's name and choose Files from them.
Files leaves out logos and small pictures inside emails, signatures and calendar invitations, and the mail in Trash and Spam. The first time you open it, it looks through your folders, which can take a moment; after that it only looks at new mail.
