People, work analytics and location at work

Each person’s profile for admins and managers: details, work, performance and where they are working from, shared openly.

Open your business and choose People. Admins and managers see everyone in the business; choose a person to open their profile.

  • Overview: their details, role, apps, the devices they are signed in on and recent sign-ins.
  • Location: where they are working from now, a small map, the places of the last days and the full history kept, with filters.
  • Work: emails sent and received, Vire messages and reply time, meetings and calls, tasks done, documents made and edited, Virefly time and the hours they work, per day. Counts only: Viremail never shows what an email, message or file says.
  • Performance: a few fair indicators, such as tasks done on time, Vire reply time, shifts attended when you use Rota, and leads won when you use Leads. Each one says what it is built from. They are indicators, not judgements.

Location at work

When it is on, each business mailbox is asked where it is working from after signing in. A calm card explains who sees it and how long it is kept, and the app opens once they share. If they can't share their device's location, they can use an approximate one from their internet connection, marked as approximate, when you allow it.

Owners and admins choose at the top of People:

  • Off, City level (their town or city) or Precise (to within a few metres). New businesses start at city level.
  • Ask at every sign-in, or twice a day.
  • Keep locations for 7, 30 or 90 days. Older ones are deleted.
  • Allow approximate location from the connection.

While Viremail is open the location is refreshed at most once an hour. Nothing is ever sent in the background or while Viremail is closed. Each person sees their own location in the header and everything kept about them in Settings, Privacy at work, with a download.

Admins and managers also see it under people's names in Vire. Coworkers and anyone outside your business never do.

Your duties as an employer

This is employee monitoring. Tell your team before you turn it on, say why you need it, and keep it to what you need. Each look at someone's location or work is written to your business's audit log.
