Make a landing page with LaunchNew
For everyone. Build a page from blocks and themes, add a form that sends people to Leads, and publish it on a free address.
Launch makes landing pages: one page (or a few) that tells people what you offer and asks them to get in touch, sign up or buy. It is for every Viremail account. You find it in the app launcher (the nine dots); to keep it on the side bar, choose Add to side bar there.
Start a page
- Open Launch and choose New page.
- Type the name of your business or product, and pick a starting point: Software, Agency or studio, Local business, Event, Product launch, Free guide or Blank.
- Choose Make page. The words are examples: click any block and type over them.
Blocks
The list on the left is your page, top to bottom. Drag a block to move it (or press Alt and the up or down arrow), and use the small buttons beside it to hide, duplicate or remove it. Add block has navigation, an announcement bar, heroes, logos, features, how it works, picture and text, numbers, testimonials, pricing, questions, a call to action, a form, a gallery, text and a footer.
Click a block, in the list or on the page, to change it on the right. To show words of a heading in your colour, type a star before them and another after them. Links can go to a block on the page (#pricing), another page of your site (/thanks), a website, an email address (mailto:) or a phone number (tel:).
The look
Look has the themes: Studio, Editorial, Midnight, Bloom, Mono, Harbour, Stage, Grove, Atelier, Pulse and Nightfall. Each is a font pairing, colours, corners and spacing made to go together. Change the colour, the fonts or the corners on top of any theme. The buttons at the top of the page show it at computer, tablet and phone size.
Forms and Leads
A Form block asks the questions you choose: short and long answers, email, phone, a choice or a tick box. Each question can say what it fills on the lead (name, email, phone, company and more), or let Launch work it out. Forms never ask for passwords or card numbers.
Every entry is kept in Entries in the editor, where you can download them. With Viremail Business, each entry also becomes a lead in Leads, or joins the lead that already has that email address, and you get a notification.
Forms are protected against robots without any puzzle for your visitors, and a lot of entries from one network in a short time are turned away.
Publish
Choose Publish. Your page goes live at its free address, shown under Settings, and Publish changes puts later edits live. Your edits are saved as you go, with undo and redo, and Settings lists earlier published versions you can go back to. Take offline removes the page from the internet; your work is kept.
Free pages carry a small "Made with Viremail Launch" line. Launch Pro takes it off and adds your own domain.
Search and sharing
In Settings, set the title and description people see in search results, the picture shown when the page is shared, and the icon in the browser tab. Hide from search engines keeps the page out of search results.
Numbers
Numbers shows visitors, views, entries and the sign-up rate for the last 7, 30 or 90 days, with the sites people came from and campaign names (utm_source). Launch counts without cookies and keeps nothing about your visitors: no addresses, no browser fingerprints.
Safe pages
Published pages run no scripts, sit on an address of their own away from your Viremail account, and anyone can report a page from the link at its foot. Pages that pretend to be someone else or ask for passwords are taken down.
