The Business tab
Run your company on Viremail: your own domain, and mailboxes for the people who work with you.
Business is at the bottom of the app bar, below Fields. It's where you set up your company: its own domain (like acme.com) and a mailbox on it for each person who works with you.
Your businesses
The side panel lists every business you run. One that is still being set up shows In progress. Click it to carry on exactly where you left off: the DNS step while the domain is being set up, then its mailboxes. Nothing is lost if you close the page, reload or sign out in between.
Inside a business you'll find:
- Overview: its state, its domain, the seats in use and how long is left of the free month.
- Domain: the DNS records and whether each one has been found. See Add your domain and set up DNS.
- Mailboxes: the people with a mailbox, and Create mailbox. See Create mailboxes for your team.
Choose Add new business at the bottom of the side panel to start another one.
Your logo and icon
Under Overview, Branding takes your business's own pictures: a wide logo (up to 1200 by 300 pixels) and a square icon (up to 512 by 512), as PNG, JPEG or WebP up to 1 MB. Your team sees them in the app and the browser tab, and the logo heads the emails you send them their details in. Without an icon, your initials are shown on a colour. The desktop app keeps its own icon.
Your own account stays yours
You run a business from your own Viremail account. That account stays personal: the business can't see into it. The mailboxes you create are the business's.
If your account is a business mailbox
If your employer created your mailbox, the Business tab shows your organisation and your role, and the top of the app says Business. The people who run it can reset your password if you are locked out.
