Share your whole DriveNew
Let someone open everything in your Drive, now and later, as a viewer, commenter or editor. Never your Trash or your sharing.
To share one folder or file, use its Share menu in Drive. To let someone into all of it, including things you add later:
- Open Settings, People and access and find Share your calendar, contacts, Drive and more.
- Choose Your whole Drive and enter their address. It has to be a Viremail account.
- Choose Can view, Can comment or Can edit.
- Enter your password to confirm. Access starts once they accept.
They find it in Drive under Shared with me, as Your name’s Drive.
- It covers everything you own, and anything other people add inside your folders.
- They never become an owner. They can’t move things to the Trash, open your Trash, delete anything for good, or hand anything over.
- They can’t change who has access, make or change links, or share anything on, even as an editor.
- What they open and change shows under Activity. Removing it takes effect at once, also in files they have open.
