Send Fields responses to Leads
Connect a form so every enquiry becomes a lead, or import responses you already have.
A Fields form can fill your Leads for you. This comes with Viremail Business, like Leads itself. Without it, responses still arrive and stay in the form as always.
Connect with Leads. In the form's Settings, turn on Connect with Leads. From then on every response becomes a lead. Someone who is already in Leads with the same email address is never added twice: their answers go on their timeline, and only details the lead is missing (a phone number, a company) are filled in. New leads start in your first stage and show in the red count on Leads until you open them, with the form's name as the campaign they came from.
What goes where. Each field's Maps to lead field decides it: name, email, phone, company, job title, website and deal value fill those fields on the lead, the message goes into the lead's notes, and a ticked consent box records their marketing consent with the date. A box left unticked never counts as consent, and a form never turns consent back on for someone who took it back. Answers that are not mapped are kept with the lead's details as custom fields. Settings shows the whole list, and warns you if no field fills the email, since a lead needs one.
Import into Leads. Responses that came in before you connected the form, or while it was off, can be added on the Responses tab. Select some, or none for all of them, and choose Import into Leads. You see what each response fills in and how many leads will be added or updated before anything changes, then a summary such as "12 added, 3 updated, 1 skipped (no email)". Responses already in Leads are left alone, so importing again adds nothing twice.
Limits that keep spam out. Anyone can fill in a public form, so a flood of responses cannot bury your Leads. Your forms together add up to 100 new leads an hour, with a notification for the first 10, and one person's timeline gets up to 10 form entries a day. Every response is still kept on the Responses tab, and any that did not reach Leads can be imported there.
Only the form's owner can connect it or import from it, because the leads go into the owner's Leads. People who edit the form with you see whether a response is in Leads, but not the lead itself.
