Hiring: post a job and take applications

Write a job, publish it to your careers page and Google Jobs, and see every application on one board.

Business, Hiring is where you post jobs and look after the people who apply. Owners, admins and managers have it; an admin can give it to anyone else under Roles (Post jobs and handle applications).

Post a job

  1. Choose New job and fill in the title, department, where the work is done (on site, hybrid, remote or in the field), the kind of job (employee, contractor, freelance or internship), and whether it is paid. Add a pay range if you can: jobs with pay get more applications.
  2. Write the description. Use the small toolbar for bold, headings and lists.
  3. Add what they need and what they get, one per line, a closing date if there is one, and up to 10 questions for applicants.
  4. Save draft keeps it to yourself. Publish puts it on your careers page.

A job closes itself after its closing date. Close it any time from its menu, and open it again later.

Your careers page

Your open jobs are at viremail.com/b/your-name/careers, in your public page's colours. Your careers page uses your public page's address, so choose one under Public page first. Each job has its own page with an apply form: name, email, phone, a CV (PDF or Word, up to 5 MB), a cover letter and your questions. Applicants don't need an account.

Where your jobs show up

  • Google Jobs: every job page carries the details Google reads, so open jobs can appear in Google's job search.
  • Job boards: copy the job feed address (the feed icon on the Hiring page) and give it to boards that read feeds, such as Adzuna, Jooble or Talent.com.
  • LinkedIn: choose Share on LinkedIn on a job, or in its menu.
  • Indeed is coming: Indeed opens posting and Indeed Apply only to approved partners.
