Use Viremail with other email apps
App passwords for desktop and phone mail clients.
If you want to read your mail, calendar or contacts in another app on your phone or computer, create an app password for it rather than using your main password.
- Open Settings, Security and find App passwords.
- Name it after the app, and tick only what it needs: reading mail (IMAP), sending (SMTP), calendars and contacts, and so on.
- Copy the password into the other app. It is only shown once.
If you stop using the app or lose the device, Revoke its password. Nothing else is affected.
