Tips and what you can doNew

Short tips the first time you use something, and a one-page tour of Viremail.

Viremail tells you about a feature at the moment it helps, in a short note at the top right with a lightbulb. For example, the first time the desktop app saves something to your clipboard history, it tells you the key that shows it.

  • Each tip shows once for your account on each device, and never more than one every few minutes.
  • Tips never appear while you are typing, in a call, while a window or menu is open, or while Viremail is locked.
  • Missed one? It stays in the notifications bell under Recent until you close the tab.
  • Many tips have a button, such as Show me or Try it, that takes you straight there.

To turn tips off or on again, open Settings, Appearance and reading and use Tips under Motion, sound and tips.

What you can do

What you can do is a one-page tour: a card for each feature, a line about it and a button to try it. Open it from your account menu (your photo, top right): Help, then What you can do. It is also in Settings, About and help. In the desktop app the tour starts with what only the app can do, such as clipboard history, Quick Viremail, Viredrive and Vault quick search, and a tip offers it once after the first sign-in.
