Bring over your old to-do lists

Import tasks from the earlier Tasks app into a Personal board.

If you used the earlier Tasks app, your to-do lists are still on the mail server. The boards page offers Import my tasks once.

Importing copies them into a Personal board: open tasks go to To do, completed tasks to Done, and each list becomes a label. Nothing is deleted from the mail server, so apps that sync your to-do lists keep working. Importing again skips tasks you already brought over.
