Roles and permissions
Choose what each person can do: a role, then each app off, view, edit or full, and a few extra permissions.
Open your business and choose Roles. Each person has a role, and you can fine-tune it for them.
- Owner: made the business. Can do everything, and no one can take that away. The owner is always a personal Viremail account, never a business mailbox, so you can always get back in through viremail.com.
- Admin: runs the business: people, mailboxes, domains, billing and every app.
- Manager: runs a team: builds rotas, sends invoices, handles leads and reviews.
- Editor: does the work: edits shared files, leads and the public page.
- Member: everyday work: their own mail, files, leads and shifts.
- Viewer: can look at shared work but not change it.
Change someone's access
Choose a person to see their role, their apps and their permissions. Each app is Off, View, Edit or Full (full can also delete). Anything you change from the role's usual is shown in bold, with Reset to go back. Mail is always on.
Permissions go beyond one app: manage mailboxes and people, manage domains, create and send invoices, manage lead settings and imports, manage review requests, build and publish rotas, edit the public page, see Virefly activity, clear Virefly browsing data, see where people work from and see work and performance analytics. Admins and managers have the last two by default.
Only the owner and admins change roles. Nobody can change their own, so you can't lock yourself out by mistake, and the business always keeps at least one admin.
What people see
Apps that are off disappear from that person's side bar, and Viremail refuses them on the server too. In Rota, everyone with Rota sees their own shifts and can ask for swaps and time off; only people who build the rota can change it.
