Make a rule from an emailNew
Turn one email into a filter, and see what it would catch first.
Open an email and choose Make a rule from this in the ⋯ menu. The rule starts filled in with the sender; add conditions on the subject, recipients, mailing list or text.
Before you save, you see how many messages already in your Inbox match, with a few examples. Tick Also do this to the messages already here to tidy them up at the same time (starred and pinned mail is never moved or deleted).
Saved rules run on the mail server for new mail, in every mail app. You can change them later in Settings, Filters.
