The kiosk: clocking in on a shared tablet

Set up a tablet at work where people tap their name and enter a PIN. No camera, no details shown.

A kiosk is a tablet at your workplace where people clock in with a PIN instead of their own device.

Set it up (admins)

  1. Open Rota, Settings, Kiosks, choose the location and select Add a kiosk.
  2. On the tablet, open viremail.com/kiosk in the browser and enter the 8 character code. The code works once, for 15 minutes.

The tablet stays set up until you select Switch off next to it, which stops it at once.

Use it

  1. Each person sets a 4 to 6 digit kiosk PIN in My time. Easy PINs like 1234 are refused.
  2. At the tablet, they tap their name, enter the PIN and choose Clock in, Start break, End break or Clock out.

After 5 wrong PINs, that person is locked out of the kiosk for 15 minutes, and they and their manager are told. Others can still use it.

The kiosk shows first names and "Clocked in at 08:58" only, never anyone's hours, pay or details. It never uses the camera.
