Refunds for apps from Shelf
Ask for a refund within 14 days. Your first refund of an app needs no reason.
You can ask for a refund on a paid app within 14 days of buying it.
How it works
- Ask us through Help, naming the app and the email address you bought it with.
- Say why, if you like.
- Your first refund of an app is given without questions. Later requests for the same app are the developer's decision, and we pass your request on.
- When the refund is made, your licence for the app is taken back and the app may stop working. The money goes back to the way you paid, which can take a few days.
Your rights
Under UK and EU law you have 14 days to change your mind about digital content, unless you agreed at checkout that the download starts at once and you lose that right. Our refund promise is on top of that: within 14 days we refund on request.
Chargebacks
If you dispute a payment with your bank, the licence is taken back while it is looked at. Please ask us first, it is quicker.
Paid checkout is not switched on yet. Until it is, only free apps are on Shelf, and there is nothing to refund.
